USF Health Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship
The University of South Florida Health Morsani School of Medicine’s Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship is a 3-year fellowship program in partnership with Shady Grove Fertility Tampa Bay. It is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The fellowship accepts one fellow per year.

About the Fellowship
Located in sunny Tampa, Florida and across the street from Tampa General Hospital, the Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Fellowship balances training in infertility, advanced reproductive surgery, and endocrinology. The program received initial accreditation in April 2018 and partnered with SGF in 2020.
Fellows participate actively in caring for patients with infertility, reproductive endocrine, urologic disorders, uterine fibroids, and endometriosis, in a collaborative environment. Fellows and patients benefit greatly from the partnership between USF and SGF, which combines clinical expertise with academic teaching.
The outpatient and advanced reproductive technology (ART) rotation of the fellows occurs at Shady Grove Fertility Tampa Bay – West Shore, which is housed on the third floor of a three-story medical office building. The facility houses imaging and an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) on the first floor, clinical area for multi-specialty physicians on the 2nd floor, and clinical area for Maternal fetal medicine (MFM) practice on the third floor.
SGF Tampa Bay’s Westshore location includes a full-service embryology laboratory equipped with the latest technology that provides patients every advantage on their quest to conceive, including a HEPA-filtered clean ventilation systems, heated workstations that stimulate in vivo environment, anti-vibration tables, highly sophisticated inverted microscopes and advanced incubators.
Fellows are exposed to a large number of in-and out-patient surgical opportunities, including robotic, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and open approaches. Office exposure includes new and follow-up patient evaluations, including performing office hysteroscopy and hysterosalpingography. All fellows’ activity is supervised by clinical faculty members, with the intention of ensuring that fellows master the routine and fine points of all aspects of surgical and office procedures.
Fellows also receive hands-on training in performing basic science, clinical, and translational research, and have access to a large collection of clinical patient data. The research curriculum and experience have sufficient flexibility to accommodate different levels of interest and expertise among individual fellows.

Application process
Eligibility:
All applicants must have completed a four-year residency program in obstetrics and gynecology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and be eligible to take the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology written examination by the time they enter the fellowship. The University of South Florida will sponsor J1 visas and in some cases an HB1 visa.
Each application is reviewed by the fellowship director, after which, applicants will be selected for a formal interview on the basis of their credentials and letters of recommendation.
All applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). Interested applicants should specifically indicate their desire to be considered for this program, which is identified as: University of South Florida Morsani Program.
The final selection process is administered through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
