Patient Testimonial
A huge thank you to Leslie and Dr. Kim and the amazing clinical coordinator Dori who have been fantastic the whole way. The kindness and compassion fills the room and the organization and professionalism creates an environment of peace, trust and comfort.

Dr. Robinson was great to work with, he took what could have been an incredibly scary surgery and made it approachable and eased all of my fears. He has a wonderful bedside manner, and I am so grateful that he was available to perform my procedure.

After our first appointment with Dr. Kallen we knew that he would be the right doctor for us based off of the knowledge, honesty and compassion he showed. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Kallen and his team!

I have been to 5 fertility clinics and seen 6 fertility doctors. Dr. Bressler and Shady Grove was hands down my best experience…by a landslide. Dr. B made me feel like an important individual. I can’t say enough good things about this practice and about Dr B.

At no point in time did I feel hopeless and was always comforted by next steps and kind words. But Dr. Mitchell truly is extra. I felt like her only patient. I can’t speak enough to her kindness. It is my firm belief that she 100000X capable of leading someone to pregnancy success.

I had a wonderful experience with IVF at Shady Grove. The staff were incredibly friendly and supportive throughout the entire process. I am especially grateful for Dr. Sally Vitez, whose positivity and expertise made a significant difference. I couldn’t be more thankful for her and the entire team!

Q&A

I enjoyed the cutting-edge science of the field, the opportunity to do procedures and medicine, and helping patients build their families. Its the world’s best job!

SGF is committed to advancing the field and providing the best patient care in the world. SGF leads in educating fellows, performing cutting edge research, and serving in all major national fertility societies.

A patient came to see me after numerous pregnancy losses. She and her husband were both Sergeants and the continued miscarriages took a huge toll physically and emotionally. But they embodied the courage and strength we think of in our finest soldiers. She was the most resilient person I have ever met and never gave up. They now have 4 beautiful children. She has become a nurse and uses her passion and skill to bring healing to others. He is now a Gunnery Sargeant. Their semper fi approach to life inspires me and I get joy every time she sends pictures of their family living a wonderful life.

I am a colon cancer survivor and my life’s journey has been physically and mentally challenging. As patients, we want to be heard, we want to understand, and we want to know we are in the most capable of caring hands. I try to make sure patients are listened to with empathy and make shared decisions that the patient knows are in their best interest. Some of my favorite doctors have been the ones who walked me through my worst health outcomes because they showed me kindness and compassion and delivered the best health care available.

I am inspired by our soldiers, sailors, marines, and airpersons. When I meet these young people who risk their lives to defend our constitution and freedom, I feel honored and inspired. I exercise by swimming and inevitably at the Walter Reed pool I will swim next to an amputee, usually with multiple limbs missing. It forces me to grind and not feel sorry for my own disabilities, but more importantly I feel joy in the blessing of being alive.

I’m very shy and introverted, which I try to challenge by taking leadership roles that make me uncomfortable and investing in others. It’s something I have to work on and doesn’t come innately.

I would love to reef dive with my wife in the Maldives.

I enjoy fishing, gardening, cooking, and playing strategy games with my family. Fishing connects me with nature and my Dad and brothers take trips into Ontario as soon as the ice out occurs. My grandfather was a farmer, both crop and dairy, and my mother an expert rose gardener. Something about getting my hands into the dirt and seeing life grow over years and decades helps ground me. Cooking is the one area in my life where I’m more creative than rigid. I don’t like recipes, I like learning principles and exploring new things to cook. I unwind by cooking each night. My wife and I play the game WingSpan with each other, almost every day. We have played thousands of games and enjoy sharpening our minds with mental strategies and having fun together.

When not fishing, gardening, cooking, and playing board games, I’m addicted to sports. Especially football!
