Biography

Jeffrey L. McKeeby, M.D., was the program director of assisted reproduction at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., from 2001 to 2003. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology.

Originally from New York, Dr. McKeeby received an undergraduate degree from Hope College in Holland, MI, and his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He served in the U.S. Navy on active duty for 14 years and achieved the rank of Commander.

He completed residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, and served as the department head of ob-gyn at Naval Hospital Guam, and director of outpatient ob-gyn at the National Naval Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda in 2001.

My main hobby is travel. I especially enjoy travel with my wife and sons. It is a pure joy to experience the discovery of new places and cultures with them.

I am most proud of the absolute commitment to quality by each and every staff member. The culture of the practice is that each member of the team knows they are integral to patient success and experience.

I was in the Navy on 9/11. A patient’s husband died in the Pentagon that day. A few months later, she came to the office to thank our team for helping them build their family together and bringing such amazing joy to her husband before he died. She then dedicated herself to creating a charity in her husband’s honor to help other military families struggling with infertility at Walter Reed by funding travel expenses. Her selflessness continues to inspire me today.
