About
SGF Houston’s embryology lab is equipped with the latest technology to give patients every advantage on their journey to conceive, including HEPA-filtered clean air ventilation systems, heated work stations that simulate the In Vivo (Latin for “within the living”) environment, anti-vibration tables that prevent harm to specimens should the table shake, highly sophisticated inverted microscopes to better evaluate embryo growth and development, and advanced incubators and media, among many others.
SGF Houston’s IVF lab is updated with the very latest technology and is accredited by the Joint Commission and the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies (SART). With over 30 years of serving families in the Houston area and 6 fully trained embryologists, SGF Houston’s IVF lab is ready to make your family-building dreams a reality.

Meet the IVF lab director at SGF Houston: Hyo Lee, Ph.D., HCLD
Hyo Lee, Ph.D., HCLD, is a High-complexity Clinical Laboratory Director, certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB). She earned her doctorate and master’s degree focusing on multi-disciplinary research in Oocyte Mechanics/Biophysics and Reproductive Biology at Johns Hopkins University.

Todd Stegner, MLT, T.S.
Todd Stegner, MLT, T.S., is a Medical Laboratory Technician, certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) and a Technical Supervisor in Andrology and Embryology as certified by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB). With more than 25 years of experience at SGF, he serves as the lab manager at SGF Houston. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, any physical activity, and traveling the world with his wife.
